Identifying Solutions to Problems: An innovative mindset.
Imagine if disruption has always been the order of the day?
Imagine if we intentionally task ourselves to identify problems, we encounter in our day to day activities?
Imagine if companies set up an exercise, where they actively brainstorm and find solutions to problems identified in and out of their industry?
If indeed all this were true, our ability to see opportunities in problems will be well sharpened. With the continuous honing of this skill, we become expert solution providers and innovators.
As Zig Ziglar said, “The first step in solving a problem is to recognize that it does exist”. This consistent mindset will allow the seamless implementation of innovative ideas, and for the modus operandi of companies to adjust to the new normal.
All these thoughts came rushing in while reading “To Everyman A Brain” by Kehinde Salami, which gives insights on how to push your creative thinking by identifying opportunities in problems. It also explains how seeing things differently can inspire ideas that can re-write the rules.
Above all to be innovative requires consistency. In your individual careers, you need to be ever ready to learn, and even unlearn to stay relevant. The same thing applies to companies, you must be ready to innovate to stay relevant in your industry.
How hard are you working to build your relevance?
